ISLAMABAD, Sep 27 (NNI): The Lahore High Court’s (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench has granted bail to Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader and former Member of National Assembly (MNA), Ali Wazir, in a case filed under the Maintenance of Public Order (3MPO) law.

LHC Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz heard the case on Friday and approved Wazir’s bail against surety bonds of Rs 500,000.

The court also declared Wazir’s detention under the 3MPO as illegal and ordered his immediate release.

Wazir’s legal counsel, Sulaiman Zaib, was present in court during the proceedings. NNI
