{"id":2765,"date":"2023-09-04T13:50:21","date_gmt":"2023-09-04T13:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/english.nni-news.com.pk\/?p=2765"},"modified":"2023-09-04T13:50:21","modified_gmt":"2023-09-04T13:50:21","slug":"pcb-proposes-shifting-of-pak-india-asia-cup-matches-from-sri-lanka","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/english.nni-news.com.pk\/?p=2765","title":{"rendered":"PCB proposes shifting of Pak-India Asia Cup matches from Sri Lanka"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LAHORE, Sep 04 (NNI): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf has said that since more rains are expected in Sri Lanka; therefore India should consider playing the remaining matches of the Asia Cup in Pakistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In his telephonic conversation with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah, Ashraf said that already one of the matches of the tournament had to be abandoned due to rain. \u201cIn these circumstances, when more rains have been forecast, it will be better if the remaining matches are shifted to either Pakistan or Dubai,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cAsia Cup is a big event, and we should not allow it to fall prey to inclement weather.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Responding to PCB chairman\u2019s suggestion, Shah said India would think over it.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistani pace battery had bamboozled the strong Indian battling line-up in their first Asia Cup encounter played at Sri Lankan city of Kandy.
