GWADAR, Jul 27 (NNI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday inaugurated and laid foundation stone of several projects including New Gwadar Airport and China Expo Centre in Balochistan coastal city of Gwadar.

During his day-long visit to Gwadar, the prime minister also distributed relief cheques among the deserving fishermen of the city.

He also attended a detailed briefing about different development projects in the province.

Shehbaz Sharif also distributed laptops among the talented students of Gwadar University.

On his arrival in Gwadar, the prime minister was received by Governor Abdul Wali Kakar.

Among the notable projects unveiled by Shehbaz Sharif were the 102km Khuzdar-Basima Road, the 55km Awaran Road, and the Jhaljao Road, aimed at enhancing transportation and connectivity in the area.

Additionally, the New Gwadar Airport, a crucial infrastructure milestone, was inaugurated during the ceremony, signifying the government’s commitment to bolstering regional air connectivity.

Moreover, the launch of the 132 KV Panjgur-Nag-Basima-Nal Transmission Line was top of the list, to improve power distribution in the region. NNI
