LAHORE, Dec 04 (NNI): Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that the government will not tolerate any neglect in the provision of free medicines to the public.

The chief minister visited the Government Abdul Rahim Hospital in Sodiwal, Lahore.

He inspected the emergency and other wards in the hospital and reviewed medical facilities.

During his visit, the attendants of patients complained to him about the non-availability of free medicines, blood supply facilities, and poor sanitary conditions in the hospital.

Chief Minister Naqvi took immediate notice and gave a stern warning to the medical superintendent of the hospital.

He also ordered to refund the money to those who purchased medicines from the market.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also paid a surprise visit to Khidmat Markaz (police service centers) in Liberty and Mayo Hospital late at night.

The chief minister also met people who came for the test and asked about the test process. People complained about the delay in the test process.

He gave immediate instructions to the police to redress the public grievances.

CM Naqvi asked the in-charge of the Liberty Khidmat Markaz why the test is taking 3 to 4 hours, the test should be completed in minimum time.

He directed him to immediately contact with the Punjab Information Technology Board to improve the test system, adding that the service centers are working 24/7 for the convenience of people. NNI
