LONDON, Jun 24 (NNI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said he met the International Monetary Fund (IMF) MD in France and took up the package issue with him.
“I met the IMF MD in France and told him that Pakistan fulfilled all the conditions, said while talking to the media in London.
“I said progress on the IMF programme should be made,” the PM said. He said Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is overseeing the matter and he is in touch with the minister.
Issues will be taken up in the meetings between the reps of IMF and Pakistan, he hoped.
PM Shehbaz landed in Britain where he will l meet former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and showed up at the PML-N meeting.
The meeting will mull over Nawaz’s return to the motherland and according to sources, preparations for according a warm welcome to Nawaz will be finalized.
The insiders said Nawaz Sharif will make a comeback before the dissolution of the assemblies in August. NNI
