RAWALPINDI, Jul 21 (NNI): Awami Muslim League (AML) head and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid said on Friday the political theatre would be over in the next 20 days.

Taking to Twitter, the seasoned politician said Shehbaz Sharif became prime minister the day he was supposed to be indicted. “Might is right is prevailing in Pakistan as Sharif has been exonerated from all the cases in just 15 months,” Rashid said.

He added that the corruption of Rs500 million had been declared legitimate and no one asked about the corruption of Rs16 billion.

According to the senior politician, the investigators of corruption cases have passed away.

The AML head said: “Time is running out as only 20 days are left and the incumbent rulers can make as many cases against the opponents as they can. Every day is not Sunday (favourable).”

It’s good that Maulana Fazlur Rehman would field his candidates in all the constituencies, he said, and added that the PPP was not ready to share the burden of the PML-N.

“The PML-N is still afraid of going to polls and Shehbaz Sharif is stabbing elder brother Nawaz Sharif in the back,” Rashid said.

He claimed that Nawaz would not come to Pakistan in near future as he would fly to London from Saudi Arabia. “Only God knows when Nawaz Sharif will come back and under which circumstances,” Rashid said.

According to Rashid, three of the 13 parties of PDM have applied for the election symbol in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). The remaining 10 parties have no political worth at all as they are required only to increase the number of allies psychologically. These 10 parties, he said, were traditionally binned after being used.

He said there would be more increase in the prices of sugar and flour. The power tariff also would be increased, as would gas prices. The government would lose nerves when the dollar would surge to over Rs300, said Rashid.

The seasoned politician said a tug of war had started to select the caretaker prime minister and the matter would become controversial.

“The tug of war between the politicians and economists to become the caretaker prime minister is in full swing,” Rashid twitted. NNI
