RAWALPINDI, Aug 11 (NNI): Awami Muslim League chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed says today and tomorrow are the days when important decisions will be made and let’s see which way the wind blows.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Sheikh Rashid said on Friday the name of the caretaker prime minister (PM) was unclear and the nation was waiting for the decision.

He said the entire caretaker cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was found involved in ‘politics’ and the Election Commission sent it packing.

The former minister said Shehbaz Sharif said former PM Nawaz Sharif would come back, face the law and lead the election campaign. He said it’s doubtful.

He said the government buffeted the poor segment of society by withdrawing the subsidy given to them at the utility store. The 16-month long era of the outgoing government was the darkest part of Pakistan’s politics, he said.

The political situation, he lamented, was becoming serious and dire.  NNI
