LAHORE, Jan 12 (NNI): Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has demanded a transparent investigation into the Model Town incident, emphasizing the imperative of delivering justice.
In a press talk following his meeting with leaders of Pakistan Awami Tehreek at Minhaj ul Quran in Lahore on Friday, Bilawal asserted that the collaboration between his party and Pakistan Awami Tehreek is not just a political alliance but a shared commitment to ending the politics of hatred.
Reflecting on the Model Town incident, he expressed concern over the lingering aftermath, with remnants of bullets and vandalism still visible. “Our thinking and ideology are unified; we pursue a brand of politics distinct from other parties who have veered towards divisive and hateful tactics,” Bilawal remarked.
Both the other parties have taken politics to hate, he said adding that PPP’s history is that we carry everyone together and will continue to carry everyone. He predicted if Mian Nawaz Sharif became the Prime Minister, his agenda would be revenge.
On the other hand, everyone knows about Imran Khan’s agenda after coming into power, he said.
Looking towards the future, Bilawal expressed satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration with Pakistan Awami Tehreek, vowing to continue the legacy initiated by their predecessors.
“The collective vision is to stride forward in unison, working and struggling together to transform Pakistan into a bastion of peace and unveil its true face as a beacon of Islam,” he maintained.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s meeting with Pakistan Awami Tehreek leaders continued. In the meeting, a final decision would be taken regarding the election cooperation on NA-127.
The meeting holds the promise of shaping the election strategy, solidifying the commitment to carrying everyone along on the journey towards a harmonious Pakistan.
Earlier, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur welcomed Bilawal Bhutto and awarded him life membership of Minhaj Al-Quran.
