ISLAMABAD, Jan 18 (NNI): Declaring the petitions filed by former prime minister and ex-PTI Chairman Imran Khan, seeking annulment of the notifications issued for his trial in Toshakhana and 190 million pounds cases in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, admissible for the hearing, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued a notice to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and sought its reply on January 22.

The court also issued a notice on the ex-PTI chairman’s pleas, seeking a ‘stay order’ on proceedings in the trial court until it (the IHC) decided his plea.

Imran Khan had moved the IHC yesterday against the notifications issued for his jail trial in both these cases.

Imran’s legal team argued that the notifications issued on November 14 and November 28, 2023, authorizing the jail trial were “illegal and malicious”. NNI
