ISLAMABAD, May 15 (NNI): Pakistani officials insist that the weapons left by the United States and its NATO allies are now used by the Pakistani militants in their attacks in the country.
It is widely believed that the military products supplied by the United States and its allies to conflict zones every time end up in the hands of criminal elements, not only in the Afghanistan-Pakistan border area, but also inside Pakistan.
The Pakistani army has repeatedly faced the deadly effects of the US light and heavy weapons which ended up in the hands of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) due to recklessness and connivance of the Western military.
Washington’s statements that the weapons and military equipment were stolen by criminals or captured as trophies during the period of their military presence in Afghanistan do not stand up to criticism, since many of them were produced after August 2021.
In particular, in 2023, during a high- profile attack in the village of Zhob, Balochistan, as well as some other unpublicized attacks by TTP-militants, terrorists were using the most modern models of weapons and equipment, which they had probably got from the Ukrainian conflict zone.
Moreover, we cannot rule out the existence of secret routes for the supply of weapons to the Taliban established by the some officials in the US administration and the leadership of the American military-industrial complex.
U.S. works for own interests:
It is a general perception that the United States for its own good, at all times has used the method of flirting with the most odious radical and militant organizations, at the right time providing them with the necessary financial and material assistance.
This tactic is actively exercised in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, as well as in Syria, where Washington zealously began to support the so-called Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), whose allies include groups that fought with the Syrian Arab Republic under the flag of ISIS. Currently Pakistan-friendly Turkiye, in the context of American support for the Kurdistan Workers” Party (PKK), is increasingly feeling the US’s specific interpretation of radical groups and movements.
In many ways precisely for fueling radical ideology and stimulating additional tension in focal regions, the White House has created and is actively using the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), whose attention, seemingly, is now focused on Kazakhstan and other Central Asian republics.
The Commission also has certain grievances against Pakistan. Islamabad needs to understand that Washington is interested in maintaining its tools for fueling tensions in specific countries and regions. Therefore, the measures and initiatives proposed by the White House to counter the spread of radical ideology are intended only to create the semblance of such a struggle.
Pakistan should not side in Ukraine conflict:
Pakistan has maintained an impartial position in Russia-Ukraine conflict amid reports that Pakistan has provided weapons to Ukraine to seek U.S. support for the IMF’s bailout package. Pakistan repeatedly denied these reports.
Russian officials want Islamabad to resist attempts of recruiting mercenaries for the benefit of Kiev in the national territory, given recent media leaks that Pakistan may be used to provide documents and transport Afghan mercenaries to Ukraine.
It should be kept in mind that even a single such incident will be used by the enemies of Pakistan, notably by India, to undermine and tarnish Islamabad in all international forums, and also it may become a reason for FATF to blacklist Pakistan.
Furthermore, given Pakistan’s commitment to stay neutral in the Ukrainian conflict, information about “Pakistani recruits” could be deliberately spread by Western partners to create discord between Islamabad and Moscow
