LAHORE, Jan 04 (NNI): Lahore Police have made significant strides in 2024 in curbing heinous crimes by dismantling 4,414 gangs and arresting 10,090 individuals involved in criminal activities.
In a series of operations, the police have recovered stolen items worth over 4.48 billion rupees.
According to a statement issued by the spokesman Lahore Police, the recovery included 434 cars, 11,658 motorcycles and 600 other vehicles seized from the arrested criminals. These vehicles were being returned to their owners following the legal procedure.
Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana stated that operations against criminal gangs involved in different crimes will continue.
He emphasized that the recovered vehicles including cars, motorcycles and other vehicles, were handed back to their owners after fulfilling legal formalities.
He added that modern investigation methods were being employed to combat criminals. He directed the police to keep an eye on history-sheeters. The CCPO reiterated the commitment to putting behind bars organized crime groups and ensuring that they face punishment.
He directed supervisory officers to oversee public safety measures and intensify intelligence-based operations aimed at eliminating organized crime.
The CCPO assured that Lahore Police remains actively engaged in ensuring public protection and upholding the rule of law. NNI
