ISLAMABAD, Jan 19 (NNI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has said that Al Qadir University is not a personal property of anybody as the University has been constituted on Trust basis like Shaukat Khanum Hospital and NAML University.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Sunday, Salman Raja claimed that PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi had not taken any benefit from the university. PTI Secretary General said Bushra Bibi became the trustee of the University in 2021 and she too had not taken any other favour.
PTI leader Salman Raja said by announcing sentence to Bushra Bibi, PTI founder’s family was targeted. PTI Secretary General said 26th Constitutional Amendments was aimed at bringing selective judges in the apex court. He said PTI will fight legal and moral war against injustices.
Talking about 190 million pound case, PTI Secretary General said 9 bank accounts of Malik Riaz family were opened in UK and UK’s National Crime Agency conducted the audit of all of the accounts and found that suspicious transactions were made in the accounts.
After this transaction, the British government placed ban on the visas of Malik Riaz family by saying that UK did not need their money. PTI Secretary General said agreement was signed between NCA and Ali Riaz Malik and NCA decided that this money will be sent back to Pakistan and it was also decided that the agreement will be kept secret.
Salman Raja said it was decided by UK that this amount will be transferred to Malir Cantonment in Karachi and after the settlement of Rs460 billion amount case, press release was released once the case is settled.
Salman Raja said then Federal Cabinet meeting was held later and NCA had transferred the amount earlier. He said it was decided in the Cabinet meeting that the amount which had been deposited in Supreme Court of Pakistan’s account has in fact come to the government.
PTI Secretary General said Rs460 billion does not come in the personal account of any government official or Malik Riaz’s account.
He said after the deposit of this amount in Supreme Court’s account, the forex reserves of the country had jumped up. And later this amount was transferred to Sindh government account. Salam Raja said UK government has made public his decision and all facts have come in front of public. NNI
