LAHORE, Feb 11 (NNI): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday advised people not to take part in violence and other illegal activities on anyone’s behest.
She expressed these views while addressing the participants at Jashn-e-Steam in Lahore. The Chief Minister promised that she will not take any step that goes against Pakistan.
Maryam Nawaz said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur personally targetted her which is not his duty. His duty is to serve the people of KP.
Maryam Nawaz said that country’s economy was destroyed during four-year tenure of Pakistan Tarheek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
The Chief Minister said that she will not accept any act which is against the interests of Pakistan.
Earlier in her special message on the International Day for Women and Girls in Science, she highlighted the Punjab government’s initiatives to promote women’s involvement in scientific and technological fields.
“The government is committed to equipping our daughters with modern education and IT skills to ensure their active contribution to development,” she said.
She further mentioned that under the Honhar Scholarship Program, thousands of female students, particularly in scientific disciplines, are receiving full tuition fee coverage. “No daughter in Punjab will have to give up on her dreams due to financial constraints,” she assured.
