LAHORE, Feb 23 (NNI): Punjab Chief Minister’s transplant programme was launched in Punjab to facilitate common people of the province.
Now kidney patients of the province will avail themselves of the facility of five transplant operations free of cost. Under the Chief Minister’s transparent programme, free kidney transplantation and surgery will be conducted.
Kidney patients need not spend huge amounts on their bone marrow transplant (BMT). For the first time in the history of Punjab, common people will avail themselves of the facility of cornea transplant free of cost.
The Punjab government will bear the expenditure of those who are deaf and dumb by birth.
All the patients are required to get themselves registered in the Punjab Human Organ Transplantation Authority because only registered patients will be eligible to avail themselves of these facilities. NNI
