ISLAMABAD (NNI): President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a joint session of the Parliament on March 10 (Monday) during which the Head of the State will address the legislators.
The joint session will begin at 3:00 pm on Monday afternoon.
The president has summoned the joint session as per clause 1 of Article 54 and clause 3 of Article 56.
The president’s address will mark the beginning of the second parliamentary year, as per constitutional requirements.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly is also scheduled to meet separately the following day, March 11 at 11 am, to take up key matters of governance and policy. The March 11 summoning will be the 14th session of the National Assembly.
President Zardari’s address is expected to highlight the government’s priorities, economic challenges, and policy direction for the coming year. NNI
