LAHORE, Mar 12 (NNI): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Sunday launched a broadside at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, saying he was postponing the election rally due to the fear of the police.
Taking to Twitter, she heaped praise on PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, saying, “The one who left no stone unturned in bid to face the challenges posed by General (Retired) Parvez Musharraf and played a vital role in the independence of judiciary is Nawaz Sharif.”
Terming Imran Khan a ‘jackal’ she lionized Nawaz Sharif who removed all obstacles put up by then military dictator late General ® Pervez Mushharaf to stop him from leading a rally taken out to restore deposed judges.
“Those who cancel “movements” due to fear of police, those who stay at home because of fear are called jackals and those who lead from the front after removing every obstacle put up dictator Musharraf and by the grace of Allah restore the judiciary before reaching Gujranwala. This lion-hearted leader is called Nawaz Sharif!,” remarked Maryam.
Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan called off party’s election rally in Lahore till tomorrow (Monday) on account of Section 144 being imposed in the city by the Punjab government. NNI
