LAHORE (NNI): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that electric buses has arrives as the government was launching environment friendly electric buses.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was addressing the inauguration ceremony of Electric Bus Service in Lahore. She said the electric bus fare will be fixed at 20 rupees. She said in first phase 27 electric buses have arrived.

CM Maryam said the dream of Green Punjab has become a reality, adding that the provision of relief to the people is her top priority.

Maryam Nawaz said 500 electric buses will reach by August. Electric bus card will be free for students and special persons. All buses will have free Wi-Fi and charging facility. She said cameras have been installed to prevent harassment of women. Safety of women will be ensured while traveling in electric bus.

CM Maryam said the she want to provide one lakh free bikes to students. She said not a single project has been demanded from the Prime Minister. She claimed PML-N has public welfare agenda, adding that all mega projects has been launched by Nawaz Sharif.

Maryam Nawaz said, “every project of Punjab is completed from the budget of the province”.

She said the government was planning to launch underground train service. She said from next year Punjab government will start metro bus service project in Faisalabad and Gujranwala and next year in Sargodha.

CM Maryam claimed that, “no work was used to be done without bribery in Gogi Pinky era”. The CM said she does not sit in the Chief Commissioner House and do my personal work.”

Earlier, students and faculty of various colleges of Balochistan called on Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. 49 female students and 14 female teachers of universities, colleges, technical education of different districts of Balochistan were included in the meeting.

Chief Minister Maryam presented laptops and gifts to the Balochistan delegation. CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif was presented traditional Baloch shawl by the students of Balochistan.

Baloch students appreciated the ongoing programs and projects in Punjab by saying that “undoubtedly, Punjab is ahead of other provinces in every department”. The female students opined that health, education and other sectors in Punjab were better than other provinces. Baloch students said that in Balochistan bread is available for 40, 50 rupees, in Punjab it is 12, 13 rupees. NNI
