ISLAMABAD, May 24 (NNI): Names of over 200 PTI leaders and workers have been provided to the authorities at exit points across the country as the government is tightening screws around the party in the wake of incidents of violence on May 9.

Quoting sources, a private news channel reported those whose names had been sent for inclusion in the Exit Control List (ECL) were wanted by the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) in connection with different offences committed in the aftermath of the arrest of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

They added that the list of these people had been sent to the immigration staff at all airports and seaports. They elaborated that concerned officials had been directed to prevent the flight of these people abroad at all costs.

Already thousands of PTI leaders and workers are in jails on charges of being involved in acts of violence on May 9.

Scores of buildings, military as well as of the government, were plundered and set on fire on the ill-fated day after the news of Imran’s arrest broke. NNI
