GWADAR, Sep 04 (NNI): Two officers and a sailor martyred when a Pakistan Navy helicopter crashed due to technical fault in Gwadar on Monday.
Pakistan Navy spokesperson confirmed that a helicopter of the Pak Navy suffered an accident in Gwadar, and stated that the helicopter encountered a possible technical malfunction during its flight, leading to this unfortunate incident.

“As a result of the accident, two officers and one jawan of the Pakistan Navy lost their lives,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson revealed that the accident claimed the lives of two Pakistan Navy officers and a soldier.
However, the Pakistan Navy has initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause and circumstances that cause this tragic event.
As soon as the reports of the unfortunate incident started circulating, condolences from the government leaders and politicians started pouring in.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has expressed grief over the loss of lives in the helicopter crash, state-run PTV News reported, adding that he prayed for the bereaved.
In his message, President Arif Alvi said that he equally shares the grief of the martyrs’ families in this difficult hour.
Moreover, he also prayed for the martyrs and paid tribute to their services for the country.
In a statement posted on the PPP’s account of X (formerly known as Twitter), former president Asif Ali Zardari also expressed sorrow over the incident and extended condolences to the families of the martyrs.
PML-N Senior Vice-President Maryam Nawaz, too, expressed grief over the lives lost in the Gwadar incident and prayed for the martyred personnel.
Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti paid tributes to the “brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty” and prayed for the departed souls and their families.
“We salute those who got martyred during the fulfilment of duties,” Bugti said.
Former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed sorrow over the deadly crash and solidarity with the martyred families.
“Martyrs are making great sacrifices for the country and people,” Shehbaz said while paying his tribute. He also prayed for the high ranks of the martyrs and the patience of the bereaved.
Last year in August, a military helicopter on flood relief mission in Balochistan had crashed due to bad weather, killing six people on board.
Among those who perished were Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali, a regional corps commander, a major-general and a brigadier. They were supervising flood relief and rescue efforts in the province, particularly the hard-hit Lasbela district. NNI
