ISLAMABAD, Sep 08 (NNI): A huddle of the apex committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) with caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar in chair is under way.
Army chief Gen Asim Munir, provincial chief ministers and chief secretaries, and senior military officers are among the participants.
The apex committee will consider projects in agriculture, minerals and mining, and information technology, official sources said.
Issues related to investment in Pakistan by Gulf countries and China will be reviewed. Matters related to a possible huge investment by Saudi Arabia will also be considered.
Another round of the meeting of Apex Committee of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) will be held tomorrow.
When the meeting was resumed after a break today, it was decided that another session of the SIFC would be held tomorrow. The huddle will review the issues related to the investment, especially the investment from Saudi Arabia. NNI
