ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (NNI): The Ministry of Finance Wednesday issued a clarification regarding a previous statement about the Chinese citizens who were killed in a blast near Karachi airport.
“None of the two Chinese engineers were part of the ongoing talks regarding the independent power producers (IPPs),” the ministry said.
The statement came in the light of federal Minister of Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb’s account on the matter.
“However, the deceased engineers were not involved in the IPP talks. Hence, any impression created to this effect by media reports is misleading and has no basis,” the statement reads. NNI
