ISLAMABAD, Nov 06 (NNI): National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a reduction of Rs 1.28 paise per unit in the monthly fuel charges adjustment for the month of September 2024.

Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPAG) had sought a request for reduction of 71 paisa per unit to FCA. NEPRA held a public hearing on this application on October 30, 2024. Earlier, August fuel charges adjustment was charged with a reduction of 86 paise per unit. Consumers will be charged 42 paisa less per unit for September FCA as compared to August.

This will be applicable to all customers of DISCOs except Lifeline, prepaid customers and electric vehicle charging stations. However, reduction will not be applicable for K Electric consumers. NNI
