RAWALPINDI, Jan 28 (NNI): Security forces have foiled terrorists bid to enter Pakistan from Pak-Afghan border in Qila Abdullah District of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations said Tuesday.

After facing resistance, terrorists rammed an explosive laden vehicle into the checkpost resultantly two army men embraced martyrdom while all of five khawarij were sent to hell.

According to ISPR press release, the incident took place on night 27/28 January 2024 when Khwarij attempted to attack a security forces’ post in general area Gulistan in Qila Abdullah District of Balochistan.

The terrorists attempt to enter the post was effectively thwarted by troops, which forced the khwarij to ram an explosive laden vehicle into the perimeter wall of the post. Own troops fought bravely and in ensuing fire exchange, all five khwarij including two suicide bombers were sent to hell.

However, during the intense fire exchange two brave sons of soil, Naik Tahir Khan (Age 39 years; resident of Tank District) and Lance Naik Tahir Iqbal (Age 26 years; resident of Karak District), having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat. Sanitization operation was being conducted in the area and the perpetrators of this heinous act will be brought to justice.

ISPR said security forces of Pakistan were determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism. NNI
