LAHORE, Feb 03 (NNI): Following the transfer of Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar to the Islamabad High Court, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has released an updated seniority list for its judges.

As a result of the reshuffle, 20 judges have advanced one position in the seniority hierarchy.

Justice Asjad Javed Gharal has moved from 16th to 15th place, while Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh has advanced from 17th to 16th.

Other notable changes include:  Justice Jawad Hassan: 18th to 17th;  Justice Muzzamil Akhtar Shabbir: 19th to 18th;  Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz: 20th to 19th; Justice Anwarul Haq Pannu: 21st to 20th; Justice Farooq Haider: 22nd to 21st; and Justice Waheed Khan: 23rd to 22nd .

The list continues with: Justice Rasal Hassan Syed: 24th to 23rd; Justice Asim Hafeez: 25th to 24th; Justice Sadiq Muhammad Khurram: 26th to 25th; Justice Ahmad Nadeem Arshad: 27th to 26th; Justice Tariq Nadeem: 28th to 27th;  Justice Amjad Rafiq: 29th to 28th; Justice Abid Hussain: 30th to 29th; and Justice Anwar Hussain: 31st to 30th.

Further adjustments include: Justice Ali Zia Bajwa: 32nd to 31st; Justice Sultan Tanvir: 33rd to 32nd; Justice Raza Qureshi: 34th to 33rd; and Justice Raheel Kamran Sheikh: 35th to 34th.

Meanwhile, 10 new judges will be appointed in the Lahore High Court and names of 50 aspirants will be considered by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan on Feb 6. NNI
