ISLAMABAD, Feb 07 (NNI): Federal Minister for Privatization, Investment Board, and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, met with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov in Islamabad.

The meeting focused on strengthening economic relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, creating more investment opportunities, and exploring mutual development prospects, a press release said here Friday.

They also held detailed discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation and partnerships.

During the meeting, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality shown by the Azerbaijani leadership during a recent visit. He said Azerbaijan’s strong interest in large-scale investments in Pakistan is highly encouraging.

The Pakistani government will ensure full support and facilitation for Azerbaijani investors through relevant institutions. He further stated that Azerbaijan’s enthusiasm for investment in Pakistan is commendable, and now is the time to implement key investment-related initiatives.

In this regard, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to visit Azerbaijan soon.

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador, Khazar Farhadov, congratulated Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on his successful recent visit. He emphasized that Azerbaijan’s leadership and people consider their relationship with Pakistan highly significant and are eagerly awaiting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit.

Abdul Aleem Khan highlighted that Pakistan offers highly profitable investment opportunities for Azerbaijan’s business community.

He specifically mentioned that investment in road infrastructure, particularly in the M-6 and M-9 motorways, can bring substantial benefits to Azerbaijani investors. NNI
