ISLAMABAD, Feb 11 (NNI): National Assembly on Tuesday passed amendment bill regarding enhancement of salaries and allowances of Members of National Assembly (MNAs).
During the session, opposition members chanted slogans against the incumbent government.
Amid much hue and cry the bill was presented by Romina Khursheed Alam while MNA Shahid Khattak pointed toward quorum.
Shahid Khattak further said that these MNAs were receiving their salaries illegally and without any justification.
On this occasion, Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq asked the concerned MNA to submit an application in this regard with the same stance.
While Federal Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Azam Nazeer Tarar also endorsed his stance saying that those MNAs who consider that their salary is not justified they should submit the same to him in written form. NNI
