ISLAMABAD, Feb 11 (NNI): Islamabad High Court has been informed that the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has withdrawn its notification requiring prior approval for defense analysts to appear on TV programs.
During the hearing, the court stated that if the petitioners are satisfied with the withdrawal, the case can be disposed of.
Justice Babar Sattar had earlier suspended the notification restricting retired military officials from participating in TV discussions without approval from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
With the notification now revoked, PEMRA has officially updated the court, and the petitions challenging the restriction have been closed. NNI
