ISLAMABAD (NNI): On the occasion of Interpol Remembrance Day, a solemn ceremony was held at the FIA Headquarters on Friday to honor police officers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
Every year on March 7, Interpol observes this international day to commemorate the courage, dedication, and sacrifices of fallen officers worldwide. In observance of this day, a series of events and sessions were organized at FIA Headquarters to reflect on the invaluable contributions of these brave individuals.
The Director General of FIA, Jan Muhammad, led the ceremony by laying a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial to honor those who dedicated their lives to ensuring the safety and security of the public.
“March 7 serves as a day to pay tribute to the sacrifices made by police martyrs,” stated DG FIA, Jan Muhammad. “We stand in solidarity with the families of these fallen heroes, and we honor their memory. Their sacrifices for the rule of law and the protection of citizens will always be cherished and remembered,” affirmed DG FIA. NNI
