LAHORE, Jul 06 (NNI): The Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Thursday to have arrested seven terror suspects during multiple raids across the province.

According to CTD spokesman, Abrarul Haq, Abdur Rehman, Umair, Imran, Ashfaq, Ayub and Moawia were arrested from Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala.

The terrorists belong to the outlawed Al-Qaeda and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Officials seized explosives, detonators, weapons, bullets and an amount of cash from the arrested suspects.

Cases have also been registered against the arrested suspects.

Besides, authorities have also arrested 18 suspects during 139 combing operations in Punjab this week. As many as 8,523 people were questioned in the combing operations, the CTD official said. NNI
