LAHORE, Apr 19 (NNI): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has vowed to transform the major cities of the province including Lahore as Information Technology hubs at the global level.

The chief minister expressed this determination while chairing a special meeting to review the progress on the Nawaz Sharif IT City project in Lahore on Friday.

The meeting directed to hire world’s best architectural companies for the construction of IT City and reviewed the proposal to allocate two towers for business call centres in Nawaz Sharif IT City.

CEO CBD Imran Amin also presented a report on roadshows in China. Roadshows on Nawaz Sharif IT City will be held throughout the country from this month to August.

He said 16 Chinese companies have expressed their interest in the first and Pakistan’s largest IT City. Eight Chinese companies are ready to launch their work immediately on the project, he added. NNI
