RAWALPINDI, May 21 (NNI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar expressed hope on Tuesday that PTI founder Imran Khan would be released from Adiala Jail within a month and a half, stating that it was a test for the judiciary to decide on his cases.
“He has been granted bail in one case, and now two cases are pending decisions,” Gohar said while speaking to the media outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
Referring to his meetings with the PTI founder, Gohar said that during each meeting, his vehicle was stopped by security personnel, and obstacles continued to be created in the way of his meetings with the PTI founder.
Responding to a question about party leader Sher Afzal Marwat, Gohar clarified that the issue involving Marwat was an internal matter of the party. He mentioned that Marwat had been issued show-cause notices, to which he has responded.
Regarding the country’s political and economic situation, Gohar stated that the nation was facing uncertainty. He emphasised that his party’s mandate was stolen in elections, while inflation was on the rise, and terrorism was also spreading. “May Allah have mercy on this country and its people,” he prayed. NNI
