ISLAMABAD, Nov 12 (NNI): Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry has apologized in the third contempt case of the Election Commission.

A three-member commission headed by CEC Sikandar Sultan Raja conducted the hearing of the contempt case against the former information minister.

During the hearing, it emerged that Fawad Chaudhry extended an apology in the third contempt case filed against him by the ECP.

The former minister said he had already apologized in two cases. But still, he had been facing cases in ATC. To this, the CEC directed him to file a written answer.

Fawad Chaudhry replied the matter of contempt is settled if one extends apology. The ECP’s Balochistan member added a little caveat: “If matters are solved like this, contempt will continue to happen.”

Later, the ECP suspended the hearing till December 10. NNI
