LAHORE, July 27 (NNI): Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Pakistan Yu Shaoning met Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore on Saturday and discussed strategic cooperation for the province’s digital growth.
Suggestions and recommendations for leveraging Huawei’s technical expertise in digitization were pondered upon in the meeting.
During the meeting, cooperation in possible sectors including Nawaz Sharif Smart City were also discussed and various options for investing in the digital economy were also explored.
CM Maryam expressed her determination to use modern technologies for governance, public services and economic development, saying their vision is to transform Punjab into a digital technology hub.
On the occasion, Huawei Deputy Chief expressed his commitment to support the technical initiatives of Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz reiterated her determination to provide a favorable environment for technological innovation and investment.
Senator Pervez Rasheed, Additional Secretary Sara Hayat and others were also present in the meeting. NNI
